3 Fun, Family-Friendly Ways to Spend Independence Day in San Jose

The holiday of firecrackers, parades and patriotism is fast approaching this 2015. Whether you are looking for all-day fun, a morning event or a nighttime firework spectacular, the south bay area is full of fantastic free and low-cost events to make July 4th celebrations more exciting than ever. With you in mind, we have compiled a list of some excellent options for family-friendly fun this Independence Day!

The Annual Rose, White and Blue Parade and Festival in Downtown San Jose

A family-friendly parade that features local floats, marching bands, dance groups, antique vehicles, fire trucks, equestrians, color guards and community members, the Annual Rose, White and Blue parade begins at 10 a.m. at Lincoln High School and travels 1.7 miles to its ending festival area located on The Alameda near Shasta Neighborhoods. For additional fun, food and live music, stick around for the festival along The Alameda that will go until 3PM.

San Jose Giants Fireworks Show

With games on both the 4th and 5th, there is no missing this family-friendly celebration. Patrons will enjoy fireworks, a USA Jersey Auction and a traditional American baseball game against the Visalia Rawhide. Both games will take place in the Municipal Stadium with tickets on sale now!

Morgan Hill Freedom Fest

For our customers who live near the Morgan Hill area, we suggest the spectacular Morgan Hill Freedom Fest and its exceptional events for all-day fun. With a 5K and 1-mile run, patriotic sign event, local parade, family-friendly music festival, premier car show and nighttime firework show, the Morgan Hill Freedom Fest offers entertainment on July 3rd and 4th for extra celebration of the red, white and blue.
