What's New for the Ford F-150 Lightning?

The Ford F-150 Lightning is one of the most in-demand models in the auto industry as an electric truck. The vehicle is packed with many innovative features and has more capabilities than similar EV models on the market. It also connects to your devices to ensure you can monitor the different features in the truck.

Ford F-150 Lightning Trims & Features

The trims available for those who select the Ford F-150 Lightning include the XLT and the LE. All trims come with an all-wheel drive and a crew cab for added versatility and performance. The EV model is still an F-150 and features a solid grille insert, replacing a grille that promotes airflow to the radiator. It even shows off an illuminated bar that stretches between both headlamps. Higher trims come with a 15.5-inch touchscreen with Ford's Sync 4A infotainment system. The Lightning even comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa.

Ford F-150 Lightning Horsepower

This model is powered by a large lithium battery with less cobalt used. Two different batteries are available to choose from. The base battery has a range of 230 miles, and the larger battery delivers a range of 300 miles with every charge. Drivers with a need for speed will be impressed with the 426 horsepower, which is more than you'll get with the gas-powered F-150. It also has a significant amount of immediate torque. The truck can even reach 60 mph in four seconds, providing more than enough passing power.

Ford F-150 Lightning Safety

This work truck is equipped with the most advanced safety equipment, including BlueCrusie, a hands-free driving aid. It comes standard with trailer reverse guidance and pro trailer backup assist. The smart-hitch feature also makes it safer to load trailers as it automatically calculates its weight once it's connected to the bed easily. The vehicle has also undergone the same rigorous tests as the F-150 to ensure it is built to be tough and holds up well in crashes.
