Mustang Update from Santa Clara Ford Research
The Ford Mustang is an American tradition all its own. In honor of its 50th anniversary, Ford is taking that tradition up a notch by giving the 2015 model an all-new redesign that sports not only a brand-new engine, but also a more aggressive exterior styling and a more luxurious interior. For all the details on this year's brand-new Mustang, keep reading our 2015 Ford Mustang review.
Available in six trim levels: V6, EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium and GT 50 Years Limited Edition, the 2015 Ford Mustang in Santa Clara offers a bevy of options for whatever shoppers may want out of their next sports car. The base Mustang V6 starts things off with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, keyless ignition and entry, a rearview camera and a six-speaker sound system. The EcoBoost trim comes with an all-new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, as well as an aluminum dash trim, a rear spoiler and Ford's "Tracks Apps" system. The EcoBoost Premium adds leather upholstery, satellite radio, an 8-inch touchscreen and 18-inch alloy wheels.
For those wanting the most power out of the 2015 Ford Mustang in Santa Clara, we recommend choosing one of the GT trims, which are powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine. The anniversary specific GT 50 Years Limited Edition is perfect for longtime Mustang drivers. This special edition pony comes with exclusive paint colors, added chrome trim, a 12-speaker sound system, unique 19-inch wheels and unique "50 Years" badging.
Along with the 2015 Mustang's new interior features, the pony gets an independent rear suspension this year, which enhances the car's handling and ride comfort. The car sits about 1.5 inches lower and 1.5 inches wider. Its rear track has also been extended by 3 inches. Our 2015 Ford Mustang review was very happy to see the car's new tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, which adds even more agility to the car's driving feel.
