What's New for the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning?
The F-150 Lightning stands out as a leading electric truck for many compelling reasons. It delivers a remarkable combination of capability and efficiency. Essentially built on the same platform as the ever-popular Ford F-150, the Lightning replaces the traditional engine with an all-electric powertrain. The latest model year introduces a few updates to the standard equipment and now includes a mobile charging cord equipped with an NACS adapter.
What Are the 2025 F-150 Lightning Trims & Features?
The 2025 Lightning is offered in five trim levels.
The base model, known as the Pro, comes with vinyl seats and flooring, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and a factory-installed trailer hitch. Standard technology includes satellite radio, a digital instrument display, a 12-inch infotainment screen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a 120V power outlet. The Pro rides on 18-inch wheels, features LED headlights, and supports DC fast charging.
Next up is the XLT, which swaps vinyl floors for carpeted surfaces and adds a power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, under-seat storage, and additional safety technology.
The Flash trim brings 20-inch wheels, a power tailgate with an integrated step, a larger 15.5-inch touchscreen, a heated steering wheel, push-button start, and keyless ignition. It also includes a wireless phone charger, an enhanced B&O sound system with eight speakers, BlueCruise hands-free driving tech, and extra safety features.
The Lariat adds a dual-panel sunroof, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and leather upholstery.
Topping the range is the Platinum, with 22-inch wheels, a 14-speaker premium audio system, massaging front seats, upscale leather trim, a towing package, and Pro Power Onboard providing 9.6 kW of outlet power.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 F-150 Lightning Have?
The 2025 Lightning is offered with standard-range or extended-range battery packs. The standard dual-motor setup produces 452 hp and 775 lb-ft of torque, while the larger battery available on the upper trims boosts output to 580 hp and extends driving range.
