We may not be in a galaxy far, far away, but we are residents of the fine community of Santa Clara, where folks can come to the Santa Clara Library this Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 to see “Star Wars: A New Hope."

“A New Hope” is the Star Wars film that started it all, telling the thrilling space saga of future Jedi Luke Skywalker and his quest to overthrow the evil Empire. The film set off the Star Wars film series that has excited audiences for over 30 years, with the newest adventure coming out this December.

The Santa Clara Library is showing the film in honor of the fourth annual Star Wars Reads Day, which is an annual event that celebrates all things Star Wars and encourages kids to pick up their favorite book and start reading. Along with the film, the library is also showing off the various books and comics about the beloved film series. Attendees can even dress up as their favorite Star Wars characters for a special prize!

We hope you will stop by the Santa Clara Library this Saturday, Oct. 10 to join in all the fun that Star Wars Reads Day has to offer. For more information about this local Santa Clara event, contact Youth Services at 408-615-2916. Film is rated PG.
