Michael Aragon Begins His Next Chapter at Ford
Over the years, Ford has counted many gifted leaders among its ranks. Aragon steps into the role previously held by Peter Stern, who is off to serve as President of Peloton Interactive. Enthusiasts are eager to see what fresh ideas he'll introduce in the months ahead.
In his opening address, Aragon emphasized his vision for richer in-cabin experiences. He stated, “We can spark new in-cabin experiences and services that feel seamless and contextual for our customers.” As head of Integrated Services, he aims to elevate Ford BlueCruise, Ford Pro productivity tools, and Ford Model e offerings.
A key focus for Aragon is expanding Ford's paid subscription base. While the company already supports over 800,000 active subscriptions, he believes there's room to grow. CEO Mike Farley shares this confidence and regards Aragon as the ideal person to lead Integrated Services forward.
Farley spoke about the Ford+ strategy, calling it vital to the brand's future. “The heart of the Ford+ plan is to match our iconic and trusted vehicles with incredible services and experiences that will improve the lives of our customers and help businesses succeed.” In his view, “Mike is the right leader to build on our early success with Integrated Services and help Ford capture this immense growth opportunity.”
With extensive leadership experience at Fortune 500 firms, Aragon took the helm on March 17. A University of New Mexico alumnus with an MBA from Dartmouth, he's bolstered brands like Twitch before. Ford is expecting big things under his guidance this year and beyond.
