The Ford Fusion has been redesigned for 2017, adding huge boosts to technology, and safety over the outgoing model.

Previous iterations of the Fusion have been rated as "acceptable" in small-overlap crash tests by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, since the test was first given on the 2013 model.
