Performance

The XL and XLT are offered with two tunes of the 3.5L EcoBoost V6, producing either 275 or 310 horsepower. The XL rides on 16-inch silver steel wheels with black hubcaps, while the XLT comes with 16-inch steel wheels finished with full silver wheel covers.

Appearance

The Ford Transit is a striking van, and the XL and XLT show subtle visual differences. The XLT features a honeycomb mesh grille with a chrome surround, whereas the XL uses a carbon black surround - a small change that alters the front-end look. Running boards are optional on both trims, and only the XLT includes chrome high-intensity HID headlamps. You can inspect the exteriors of the XL and XLT during your visit to our dealership.

Features

Inside, the XL offers vinyl front and rear floor covering, automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a standard AM/FM stereo with a 4" display and built-in Bluetooth. Dual USB ports make connectivity convenient. The XLT upgrades to SYNC 4 with a 12" display and connected navigation, front and rear carpeting, and a Lane Keeping System with Blind Spot Information. The XL has a medium center console; the XLT has a large center console. If you want the most driver-assist tech, the XLT includes Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage as standard features, not standard on the XL. The XL still allows customers to add options later.
