Santa Clara Ford Dealer Researches the New Transit
Commercial van shoppers will find a lot to love in Ford's Transit van lineup. Offering all-new wagon and van models - along with the already popular Connect model - the Transit is a fantastic option for those wanting space, power and a little bit of style out of their next commercial van.
Looking first at the 2015 Ford Transit Connect in Santa Clara, van shoppers will have their choice between cargo or passenger van body styles. Each body style is offered in two trim levels: XL and XLT -the passenger wagon offers a higher-end Titanium trim. Depending on the model you choose, the XL trim comes with keyless entry, vinyl upholstery, an overhead storage shelf, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, rear climate controls and two rear stereo speakers. Upgrade to the XLT and you'll add foglights, cloth upholstery, rear privacy glass, a CD player, a 4.2-inch display, a rearview camera and heated mirrors. The wagon's Titanium trim adds more luxury features, including automatic headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery and Ford's Sync system.
The 2015 Transit Van is for cargo use only. It comes in a single trim level that is broken down into three weight configurations: Transit 150, Transit 250 and Transit 350. Standard features on the Transit Van include vinyl front seats, a two-speaker sound system, a hinged passenger-side door, 16-inch steel wheels and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The Transit Van also sports a lightweight body frame that increases its fuel economy and improves it handling.
Finally, our 2015 Ford Transit review loves the passenger-friendly features on the Transit Wagon. Offering similar body measurements as the standard van, the Transit Wagon boasts a passenger capacity of up to 15 people, as well as a six-speaker sound system, cloth upholstery, rain-sensing wipers, a 4.0-inch display and rear dome and map lights.
