The 2016 Ford Escape in Santa Clara has been slightly updated this year. Two new exterior paint colors, Shadow Black and Electric Spice, have joined the color palette and the Chrome appearance package is now available on the SE trim. Complete with chrome door handles, side-mirror skullcaps, a liftgate applique, roof rails, a rear license plate applique, 19-inch wheels, leather-accented seats and chrome trim on the front fascia, the Chrome appearance package boosts the SE's overall look. A leather comfort package is also available on the SE for the first time, which offers heated power sideview mirrors, heated leather seats, one-touch front/rear windows and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
In addition to the package updates, the 2016 Ford Escape in Santa Clara comes equipped with Ford's all-new SYNC 3 infotainment system. Faster and more intuitive than the outgoing MyFord Touch system, SYNC 3 is ideal for drivers who want to stay connected while on the go.
Underneath the hood of the new Escape lies one of three different engine options: a 2.5L four-cylinder, turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder and turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder. The 2.5L engine comes standard on the S model, while the 1.6L displacement is standard on the SE and Titanium. The turbo 2.0L four-cylinder is optional on the SE and Titanium, and has the ability to deliver 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque.
