The new 2018 Ford Mustang is Ford's most recent vehicle to be a part of the Mustang model lineup for the new year. The new Mustang is considered to be a "refresh" from previous versions of the car, with some new features added like new front and rear-end styling and improved cabin space, given that it can only seat a total of four people and has bucket front seats. A 10-speed automatic transmission is a new addition to this model, although now the V6 model has been removed from production.
The 2018 Mustang has its own set of trim levels and special features depending on what model is purchased. The Mustang comes with four trims: the EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT and GT Premium. The EcoBoost is basically the standard version of the vehicle, complete with a six-speed manual transmission, launch control, 17-inch wheels, manual cloth seats and a six speaker sound system. The EcoBoost Premium model is mostly the same, but the wheels are now 18-inch wheels, has leather upholstery on the interior, power front seats and ready access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features. The GT model improves on the Mustang's performance with a stronger horsepower rating and port injection for the mechanics. The GT Premium takes this further with more comfort in the interior.
The 2018 Ford Mustang has been given a better engine to accommodate its horsepower rating and overall performance. The Mustang's engine has been improved from the previous model, being able to produce an average of a 310-horsepower rating with a staggering 350 pounds per feet of torque. In addition to that, all trim levels contain a rear wheel drive train and inline 4 cylinders that operate on a variable timing scale. The Mustang has a steady gas mileage rating, with an EPA of a combined 25 miles per gallon*, riding at 21 MPGs when going through the city and 31 when on the highway* and generally on premium unleaded fuel.
The Ford Mustang is made with the safety of both drivers and their passengers in mind. It goes without saying that the safety of the passengers is the biggest priority for drivers, and the younger ones are taken care of with the inclusion of the typical child seat anchors. A post-collision safety system has been included in the event of a car accident and the car needs a proper analysis, along with an engine immobilizer. Airbags are also included, namely with front head airbags and side-mounted ones in the front of the vehicle. A special remote theft alarm system is also included in the case of potential car theft from intruders. Stability and traction capabilities have all been improved and a tire pressure system keeps tabs on the status of the car tires and wheels
