What's New for the 2019 Ford F-150?

In 2018, Ford redesigned the trim package for the F-150 pickup, including a new grille and LED highlights to the headlights and taillights. For 2019, Ford kept the 2018 exterior trim design and concentrated on the areas of primary interest to the driver, the passenger compartment and the engine.

Which Features are in the Ford F-150?

The plush interior of the 2019 F-150 includes Miko suede headliners and camelback two-tone soft to the touch. In addition, multi-position the Ford features leather seats with push button massage, heating, and cooling, including enlarged micro perforated holes to enhance cooling. No matter the conditions, these seats provide comfort on an as needed basis. The Platinum edition features appointments with authentic hand-finished finely polished ash swirl wood accents.

Features include power-deployed running boards, a remote start, a powered tailgate release, a twin-panel moonroof, raised lettering on the hood, polished aluminum wheels, satin-finish grille, tailgate appliques, and satin-finish window.

Other features include the SYNC 3 entertainment and information system with AppLink and an 8-inch touchscreen providing turn-by-turn directions, including weather and traffic alerts and the location of gas stations, restaurants, and various businesses.

Also included is Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, a FordPass Connect 4G LTE modem, providing Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices and a Bang & Olufsen audio system.

What's Under the Hood of the F-150?

2019 Ford F-150 Limited FrontThe powertrain lineup from Ford offers a full array of choices, with a precision 10-speed automatic completing the twin-turbo engine with 450-horsepower.

Leading the 2019 redesign includes the Raptor package that conquered the badlands of the California Baja Peninsula. This includes a high-efficiency 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with twin-turbos and 510 pound-feet of torque. Adding to the sound of power is the dual exhaust system with tips effortlessly incorporated into the a rear bumper identical to the F-150 Raptor.

How Safe is the F-150?

2019 Ford F-150 Limited Rear BedThe 2019 F-150 offers a host of new technologies, including an optional Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which allows the driver to control the backup by rotating a knob, a standard integrated trailer brake controller, a standard 360-degree camera system, and FordPass Connect 4G LTE modem provides Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices.

The F-150 Limited driver-assist technology offers the driver a helping hand. The adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go feature allows the driver to set an overall speed, then uses both radar and the onboard camera to monitor traffic and automatically maintain a set distance between vehicles, including a complete stop when necessary.

Standard Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking helps drivers avoid or mitigate collisions with other vehicles and pedestrians. The F-150's Trail Control offers increased control for off-road driving by helping the driver manage both speed and braking. Active Park Assist aids the driver in parallel parking, and the Lane-Keeping System supplies assistance staying in the correct lane.
