The Flex is a full-size SUV with what Ford describes as a lot of personality. And they're right on the money with that assessment. The Flex continues to be one of the most unique SUVs on the road, and they show no signs of slowing up in 2019, thanks to three big trims that promise to take the Flex to the next level.
Ford prides itself on the ground clearance specs for the Flex, pointing out that they've built comfort right into the design of the vehicle by making it insanely easy to get into and out of. But that's just the beginning.
Let's take a look at at the three glamorous trim levels for the Flex. This year the Flex comes with beautiful options like a Multipanel Vista roof, Chrome Grille, and Ambient lighting for those who demand the best out of their vehicles, whether they're sports cars or full-size SUVs like the Flex. Here are some of the other things that stand out about the beautifully designed 2019 Ford Flex.
With seating for 7 in even the base model, you're going to get instant gratification if you're buying this vehicle to give your family a comfortable place to reside while you're getting from one place to the other.
Other little touches make the Flex special: Push-button start, Power Liftgate (Available on higher trims), and 10 big cup holders for those folks who have a lot of passengers with plenty of convenience needs. There are three trims available: SE, SEL, and Limited.
The Limited has plenty to offer in every single way, but you're going to get a lot of standard features with just the SE, too. The base model includes the SYNC3 System for folks who demand connectivity, and then of course as you go higher in trim you're going to have a lot more in the way of comfort and convenience.
The bulk of trims (all but one) have 280 horsepower via a couple of engine choices, while there is an available trim called Limited with EcoBoost that will give you 365 horsepower via a power 3.5L V6 engine. Otherwise you're looking at about 280 across the board with base model and beyond.
A 6-speed automatic transmission is available with all the trims as well, so you're not likely going to need to tweak this system. Ford is very good at anticipating the needs of their customers. And while folks driving an SUV through the suburbs aren't necessarily looking for a ton of power, you can upgrade to the Limited with EcoBoost and give yourself the benefit of 365 horsepower, enough to carry you everywhere you want to go with very little concern.
Safety features are important to Ford owners, and Ford has rarely let them down in this department. Why? Because without safety features, a vehicle simply isn't worth owning. You need to know that your family is going to get from one place to another in comfort and safety, so expect the Flex to come with strong safety features.
You'll get Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Intelligent All-wheel drive with premium handling, and Active Park Assist for folks who dread the art of parking and often fail at it. There's no worries with the Flex when it comes to safety features, as Ford has done an incredible job throwing in tons of safety features as well as a remarkably solid construction that makes the Flex formidable.
