What's New for the 2019 Ford Mustang?

While the 2018 model year saw some huge changes for the Mustang, the 2019 Mustang features more subtle changes. Minor aspects of the design were tweaked and changed to help improve the vehicle's performance and overall value.

One big addition is the performance exhaust with an active valve, exclusively reserved for the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine. This futuristic feature allows drivers to control how much exhaust their Mustang emits. It's possible to turn the vehicle on with Quiet Start when you don't want to wake anyone, and to use the Sport setting to really rev up when you want to have some fun.

The 2019 Mustang model also comes with a new sound system. You can jam in your car to your heart's content thanks to the 12 surround sound speakers and an in-trunk subwoofer. You also have access to more traditional audio features like CD players and HD radio.

The Mustang now has the capability to integrate with your Amazon Alexa, thanks to the Ford+Alexa app developed exclusively by Ford. Using this integration will give you access to all of Alexa's knowledge and technological features, from navigation to entertainment. Major Trims and Features in the 2019 Ford Mustang

The 2019 Mustang model comes with 5 trims and a total of 8 configurations.

2019 Ford Mustang Horsepower

The standard EcoBoost engine is a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder with 310 horsepower. It gets 26 combined MPG. All EcoBoost models share the same engine.

The GT model has a voraciously powerful 5.0-liter V-8 engine with 460 horsepower. The combined fuel economy rating is 19 MPG. GT models all share this engine.

BULLITT has an even more powerful engine, a 5.0-liter V-8 that can reach 480 horsepower. Like the GT, its combined fuel economy rating is 19 MPG.
