2021 Ford EcoSport

What's New For the 2021 Ford EcoSport?

The 2021 model year marks the fourth consecutive one for the EcoSport, which is a subcompact crossover from Ford. For this model year, the EcoSport offers minor exterior styling changes and a few feature updates. While the exterior receives new blue and yellow paint colors, the interior incorporates standard features such as the six-way power driver's seat on the SES and Titanium trims.

2021 EcoSport Trims & Features

The 2021 Ford EcoSport is available in four trims: S, SE, SES, and Titanium. The EcoSport offers steering-wheel heating if you spring for either the Titanium or SES. The former also gains perforated leather seat trim, front-seat heating, and driver-side 6-way power adjustability, and the latter stands out with its stain-resistant seat material.

Infotainment on the Ford EcoSport is represented by the SYNC communication system, which comes with a 4.2-inch display and integrates a six-speaker AM/FM stereo system, two USB ports for connecting mobile devices, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Also, standard is remote keyless entry. Automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry with push-button engine start, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, and an upgrade to SYNC 3 infotainment integration with an 8-inch touchscreen appear at the SE trim level. The SES is the only trim with a seven-speaker stereo system. It joins the Titanium in getting an auto-dimming rearview mirror, trial subscriptions to SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, voice activation technology, and a navigation system. Exclusive to the Titanium is a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

2021 Ford EcoSport Horsepower

The 2021 Ford EcoSport's base engine is powered by a turbocharged 123-horsepower 1.0-liter inline 3-cylinder engine. As the performance-oriented trim, the SES is the only EcoSport model with a naturally aspirated 166-horsepower 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine. Each engine is hitched to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Ford EcoSport Safety

For driver assistance, the 2021 EcoSport presents the Ford Co-Pilot360. This suite of active safety features provides blind-spot information, a rearview camera, and auto high-beam technology. A ten airbag system is offered on the EcoSport for protection if there's a collision. In addition, there is an SOS post-crash alert system to provide assistance in the aftermath. An anti-lock braking system, hill start assist, daytime running lights, and electronic stability and traction control systems are also standard. The SE trim level gains LEDs on the daytime running lights and rear parking sensors added with the rearview camera. Exclusive to the Titanium is a perimeter alarm to enhance the anti-theft system.
