What's New For the 2021 Ford Edge?
Dual-zone automatic climate control is now standard on all Ford Edge trims, which also gets a new trim level with the ST-Line. Also, the single-disc CD player is gone.
2021 Edge Has Abundant Features
The 2021 Ford Edge is a midsize crossover SUV, split into five trims: the SE, SEL, ST-Line, Titanium, and ST. The standard SYNC 3 infotainment system includes a six-speaker audio system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a trial subscription to SiriusXM Radio, dual smart-charging USB ports, an audio jack for connecting mobile devices, and Amazon Alexa connectivity. In addition to these features, you'll find plenty of other exceptional features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, proximity keyless entry, push-button engine start for ease of engine ignition, and 10-way power adjustability on the driver's seat.
At the SEL trim level, Ford introduces its proprietary high-end vinyl seating material called ActiveX. Other gains include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, six-way power on the front passenger seat, front-seat heating, a dual 4.2-inch LCD display for driver information, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a nine-speaker AM/FM stereo system. The brand-new ST-Line stands out with red contrast stitching on the steering wheel.
It also includes a garage-door opener, wireless charging ability, remote start, and a hands-free power-activated liftgate. The luxury-oriented Titanium gains leather upholstery, driver-seat memory, an upgrade to 10-way power on the driver's seat, and a 12-speaker Band & Olufsen sound system, and it's the only trim with a heated steering wheel. Only the ST has uniquely designed bucket seats with silver contrast stitching and an upgrade to 10-way power adjustability on the front passenger seat.

Ford Edge Performance
Most Ford Edge models are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 250 horsepower. However, for better acceleration, go with the sporty ST, which relies on a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 with 335 horsepower. Both engines are hitched to eight-speed automatic transmissions for smooth gear shifting. Fuel economy is remarkable for a midsize crossover, peaking at 21/29 mpg with standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive for optimized traction performance is available on all trims except the ST, which has it as its standard drivetrain.
2021 Ford Edge Safety at the Forefront
Ford Edge safety's centerpiece is its Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, which includes driver-assistance technologies such as blind-spot warning with cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane-keep assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Also present is a rearview camera with rear parking sensors.
