

What's New For the 2021 Ford Transit Connect?
The 2021 Ford Transit Connect gets more safety technology in the 2021 model year. Now you can get adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist bundled into one convenient safety package. The 2.5L engine is also now available with natural gas and propane conversion. The Transit Connect is also no longer available with the Taxi prep package. The Transit Connect still comes in two versions, which are a cargo van and a passenger van. There are three trim levels available in each category. You'll find a variety of standard and optional amenities for each trim level.
What Are the Ford Transit Connect Trims & Features?
The Ford Transit Connect begins with the XL trim, which is followed by the XLT. The first trim gets vinyl floors and cloth seating. The XL has a 4.2-inch infotainment display screen that comes standard with Bluetooth. There is also a USB port in the base trim for convenient device charging on demand. A few advanced safety features are included in the XL trim as well. The next trim, which is the XLT, adds a few additional amenities and conveniences. Carpeted floors are included in the XLT, which also gets two zones of climate control.
The XLT has an extra USB charging port. It is equipped with the Ford Sync infotainment system that also upgrades to a larger 6.5-inch infotainment display screen. Bluetooth is standard in this trim as well. It also adds Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for additional connectivity. The Titanium trim is the next trim in the lineup. The Titanium upgrades to leather upholstery, LED fog lights, and xenon headlights. The front seats are heated in the Titanium, and it includes an integrated navigation system.

Transit Connect Powertrain and Its Performance
The Ford Transit Connect can be configured with two engines. The base engine is a 2.0L that delivers more than 160 HP. This engine produces about 145 LB-FT of torque. The second engine is offered with propane or natural gas conversion capabilities. The second engine's power output increases to 169 HP, and it delivers over 175 LB-FT of torque.

The Ford Transit Connect is equipped with seat belts and airbags. It also offers more advanced safety features, including side-wind stabilization, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking.
