What's New for the 2022 Ford Mustang?
The 2022 Ford Mustang is now available with a few more appearance packages, including Ice White, Coastal Limited, and Stealth. The Mustang can also be ordered with another package that returns from previous model years, which is the California Special package. The available V8 engine has some modifications in its overall power output this year, which wraps up the changes for the Ford Mustang.
2022 Ford Mustang Trims & Features
The 2022 Ford Mustang comes in ten trim levels. The base model is the EcoBoost. Next in line is the EcoBoost Premium, followed by the GT, the GT Premium, and the Mach 1. There are two body styles available for the Mustang. The coupe and convertible body styles are available for the EcoBoost and the GT, while you can only get the Mach 1 in a coupe body design. Rear-wheel drive is standard across the board, and you have a choice of a four-cylinder and an eight-cylinder engine with any model. As with any vehicle, feature availability varies based on trim level. The EcoBoost comes with an impressive array of standard features, including rain-sensing windshield wipers, 17-inch wheels, an integrated WiFi hotspot, and keyless entry on the inside. The EcoBoost also has a 4.2-inch driver's display and remote monitoring capabilities that are available through an app. The Premium has wheels that are an inch larger. It also has heated exterior mirrors and more upscale interior materials, including a cabin with partial leather upholstery. The driver's seat and the passenger's seat are both power-adjustable in this model, along with dual-zone climate control. If you're looking for a more upscale experience with your Mustang, you'll be glad to know that ambient interior lighting is also included. Some additional sporty features come with the GT, including upgraded brakes and rear parking sensors. A manual transmission is standard, and the automatic is available. The GT Premium has 19-inch wheels and performance tires, along with standard Brembo brakes. A sport suspension system is also included on this trim level. The California Special features 19-inch wheels and trim-specific badges along with the interior, exterior, and underneath the hood. The coupe version also has a rear spoiler. The Mach 1 has performance tires and 19-inch wheels. It also has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a nine-speaker sound system.
2022 Ford Mustang Horsepower
A four-cylinder and eight-cylinder engine are available for the Ford Mustang. The four-cylinder engine produces 310 HP and 350 LB-FT in torque. The V8 engine produces 332 HP. You can choose from an automatic or manual transmission.
Ford Mustang Safety
The Ford Co-Pilot 360 package is standard on the Mustang with lane-keeping assist, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high beams.
