The Ford Ranger was discontinued in 2012. The 2019 model year is the first year that it's back, and there are a lot of things that are new. The grill has a trapezoidal grille, the headlights are sleek, and there are LED headlights. If you equip the truck just right, it can seat up to five, including the driver. You will have a turbocharged EcoBoost engine, a Wi-Fi hotspot, cruise control, and even a screen to access a full infotainment system.
You can choose from one of three trim levels on the 2019 Ranger, which are the XL, XLT, and Lariat. The XL is packed with a lot of standard features, including six audio speakers, a rearview camera, and SYNC. It also has cloth seats. The XLT packs a punch with blind spot monitoring, color-coordinated carpet with carpeted floor mats in the interior, as well as a power-locking tailgate. The Lariat provides you with a dual-zone electronic AC control (as opposed to the single-zone in other trim levels), fade-to-off interior lighting, leather-trimmed seats, and more. Other features you can enjoy include cruise control, remote keyless entry, and a locking glove box. A SecuriLock passive anti-theft system can be found on the pickup truck, too.
You will enjoy a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 270 horsepower. Additionally, there's a 10-speed automatic transmission to offer plenty of power. The Ranger comes with rear-wheel drive but has a four-wheel drive option available to you. You can experience the rugged capabilities of the truck with rear leaf springs. If you spend a lot of time off-road, you may want to get the FX4 Off-Road package, which provides you with tuned shocks, skid plates, and all-terrain tires. A unique Terrain Management System will allow you to choose the terrain you're going to drive on, such as gravel and snow, grass, or mud.
The 2019 Ford Ranger offers a lot of safety features, similar to its other model trucks. There will be a pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping, cross-traffic alerts, blind spot monitoring, and other systems. You will have roll stability control, curve control, and tire pressure monitoring. An SOS post-crash alert system takes care of you if you're involved in an accident. There are airbags for front, driver, and passenger seats, too. When there are kids in tow, you can look forward to child seat tether anchors and rear door locks that are child-proof.
