2020 Ford Ranger

What's New For the 2020 Ford Ranger?

The 2020 Ford Ranger carries over without any significant differences from the 2019 Ranger. The Ranger made a triumphant return in 2019 to the market after a long hiatus. With a brand new look, a modernized cabin, more safety and technology features, and plenty of power under its belt, the Ranger proved it was indeed back and better than ever.

Following the Ranger's debut last year, Ford doesn't give the Ranger any significant updates in the 2020 model year, except some minor changes to feature availability based on trim. There is also a new off-road package available for your Ranger in 2020, which is called the FX2. As with last year's model, the newest Ranger gets rapid acceleration from its turbocharged engine. It also comes with a plethora of passive and active safety technologies that are standard or available.

What Features Are Available for 2020?

There are three trim levels available in the 2020 Ford Ranger. The base trim is called the XL. The base trim comes standard with a locking tailgate, air conditioning, a four-speaker audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The inclusion of a 4G WiFi hotspot is a plus for anyone looking to stay connected on the road. This trim gets 16-inch steel wheels on the outside. It also has automatic headlights for safety and convenience. Several driving aids come standard too, including automatic emergency braking and forward-collision warning.

You can get two packages with this trim, including the 101A and the Co-Pilot360. The 101A is a technology-focused package that adds a larger infotainment screen and power-operated mirrors. It also increases the number of speakers to six. The Co-Pilot360 package adds more safety technology. The XLT comes standard with both packages. It also gets 16-inch alloy wheels, a 110V power outlet, a two-zone climate control, and a larger infotainment screen with standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This trim also has keyless entry. Several packages are offered with this trim, too.

The packages include Technology, 301A, and 302A. The 301A adds a leather steering wheel, power-folding mirrors, and more paint colors. The 302A adds remote start and heated front seats. The Technology package has parking sensors, cruise control, and navigation. The Lariat includes all packages plus LED lights and leather seats. An available package adds a Bang & Olufsen sound system, remote start, and automatic windshield wipers.
