What's New for the 2023 Ford Ranger?

Ford has not yet provided all the details on the upcoming 2023 Ford Ranger, but it has given eager consumers a sneak preview of what the newest Ranger will likely offer. The 2023 Ranger is slated to use a more powerful engine than the 2022 model. The Ford Ranger will likely add a model to the Raptor lineup, which like Ford's other trucks, will have more off-road capabilities than its Ranger siblings. The 2023 Ranger will also have a new look with appearance updates on the outside and a more high-end interior design.

2023 Ranger Trims and Features

Ford has not yet provided full details on the Ranger lineup for 2023, but it appears likely that the truck will have five models: the XL, XLT, Sport, Lariat, and Wildtrak. The Ford Ranger is also expected to have special glow-in-the-dark badges. The taillights are redesigned for 2023 as well to be thicker and bolder. The tailgate will also be updated for the 2023 model year, including QR codes. While European Rangers are likely to have a single-antenna design, US Rangers may have two. Air conditioning will likely still be a standard feature in 2023 as it was in 2022. The Ranger will likely still have a standard WiFi hotspot and a sound system with four speakers. A six-speaker audio system is available, and the Ford will probably still also have Ford's own SYNC infotainment system. The higher-end models get more amenities, including dual-zone climate control, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a leather steering wheel. A 110V power outlet is included with the Ranger as well. Leather upholstery is an added feature on the higher-end models, and LED headlights are included across the model lineup. Other amenities such as remote ignition are also features added to the top models. A Bang & Olufsen sound system is included with the higher-end trims, while the Raptor may include more off-road features such as Fox shocks and side steps.
